1. Exercise
Working out will help you to relax your body and mind. If there’s gym at work, use it! If not, take regular short breaks and go for a little walk around the building or on the street for some fresh air.
2. Massage
When you’re stressed, your muscles tense up making it hard to concentrate and difficult to sit comfortably at your desk. Regular massages can combat this by ensuring your muscles are relieved of knots and tension. Lets face it, who needs an excuse to have regular massages?
3. Eat Well
Eating the food your body needs seems obvious but can be harder than it sounds when you have short lunch breaks or few options around the office. The internet is packed full of amazing home recipes that are quick, easy and transportable! So try making your lunch the night before and bringing it in a lunchbox to ensure your fuelling your body the right way.
4. Deep Breathing
Sometimes we just don’t have time to take a break to go for a walk but it’s important you give yourself some sort of light break during the working day. When you’re feeling stressed, push yourself away from the desk and try breathing in and out slowly and deeply. If you’ve got 5 minutes to spare, try out a breathing exercise podcast. They can work wonders!
6. Make Time For Things You Like
If you’ve got an hour lunch break, why not organise a 30 minute facial or a nail treatment. We all know how good you feel after having your shellac done! You’ll still have time to eat your lunch and you’ve done something to take your mind off work for a bit.. win-win!
